AI-resilient engineers at ISCon 2026: How ProductDock is shaping the future of software development

by ProductDock

On March 14, the regional software engineering conference ISCon took place at Banski Dvor in Banja Luka, bringing together experts, innovators, and students to explore the latest trends in AI, software engineering, digital transformation, and modern development practices shaping the future of technology.

We were proud to participate as a Platinum Sponsor, supporting the growth and inspiration of the next generation of tech talent.

What makes an AI-resilient engineer? Insights from ISCon 2026

Our product manager, Jovana Romčević, delivered an interesting talk titled “AI-resilient engineer at stage one” at the ISCon conference.

Jovana tackles a question many avoid: how AI is quietly reshaping the future of software engineering. She explores what truly makes an engineer indispensable in a world where AI can write code, run tests, and design architecture.

Concluding that, after years of AI hype and bold promises, the IT industry is feeling the impact, and a quiet uncertainty about its future is emerging, Jovana believes that this is the time to move past the panic and have a constructive, objective conversation.

Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change

As someone who has supported ISCon since its inception, Jovana is deeply impressed by this year’s turnout and the maturity of the discussions regarding AI’s impact on the industry. The entire community has reached the same conclusion: adapting to this new reality is no longer an option, but a standard.

When asked how satisfied she was with her talk at the ISCon conference, Jovana shared:

I am particularly encouraged by the high level of interaction with younger colleagues, who view these changes not with hesitation, but with a constructive desire for adaptation. They are fully aware that the industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation and, while they recognise the need for change, they are eager to discover the best methods to achieve it.

Jovana’s advice for young professionals at the beginning of their careers who want to become part of the IT community was captured in Stephen Hawking’s quote: “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.

AI-resilient engineer challenge: Interactive quiz at ISCon 2026

At our stand, we hosted the AI-resilient engineer challenge, an interactive quiz that tests real-world engineering knowledge in the age of AI. Participants tackled questions across AI, software development, and modern engineering practices, turning learning into a fun and engaging experience.
