Open day and workshop for students at ProductDock

We are proud to share that ProductDock’s initiative to navigate the future of the new generations of IT leaders at “Jovan Dučić” grammar school in Doboj continues.

We organized an open day for students and a workshop about essential skills for success in a modern business environment. By this, we try to navigate them for the future and share with them some useful insights for future challenges.

Essential skills for success in a modern business environment

The first and third-grade students in the Information Technology (IT) section of “Jovan Dučić” grammar school in Doboj visited ProductDock’s office in Doboj. At the beginning of the visit, they attended a workshop by Jovana Romčević Šukalo, UX/UI designer at ProductDock.

The workshop topic was related to the skills students need to develop for successful work in a modern business environment. They received many helpful learning resources and necessary tools for their future growth.

Insightful office tour: Exploring projects, technologies, and teamwork

After the workshop, the students were divided into two groups and went on an insightful office tour. During the office tour, our unit leads and software engineers answered questions about projects, technologies we use, programming languages, cooperation between other ProductDock’s engineering hubs, teamwork, and necessary skills.

Key insights and takeaways from the open day

In closing, we held a final Q&A session, complemented by refreshments, including juice and pizza. Key takeaways for students from this visit and open day were:

• The value of active listening and collaboration within teams.
• The necessity of mastering English for global communication.
• The commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth.

As a token of appreciation, we gave the students gifts from the company.
