A legacy of leadership: 15+ years with our general manager

We continue to honor team members who have celebrated a decade or more of dedication at “ProductDock’s career reflections” interview series.

This time, we talked with our colleague Mladen Vasić, General Manager at ProductDock in Bosnia.

What do you like the most about your role?

Overall, this role is quite challenging, as it entails a lot of responsibility and stress. However, the sense of accomplishment upon achieving the set goals is unparalleled.

What is your biggest challenge as a General Manager at ProductDock?

Probably, as in any business, it is to meet clients’ expectations. Failing to do so may result in addressing any potential side effects that arise.

Can you tell us about your journey at ProductDock and how it all began?

Transitioning from a programmer to someone who is responsible for finances, controlling, and overall management was undoubtedly challenging. However, the journey has been rewarding, as it has provided valuable experience and growth.

What is your best ProductDock memory?

The first project that I worked on ends. It was a totally new experience, working in distributed teams with people with a different mentality.

What is the secret of staying in the same company for more than 10 years?

I have grown accustomed to it. Having spent 15 years with the company, I now perceive it as my own.

Where do you see ProductDock in the future?

I envision ProductDock doubling in size, expanding its client base, and taking on exciting projects.

What would you say to the younger self just starting to work?

 If this is what you really want to do, besides everything you love, success is guaranteed. It’s not an easy trip, but it is worth it.

What is your favorite place you have ever visited?

For me, it’s not about a specific location; it’s the people I’m surrounded by that make any place truly special.

What do you do besides work?

Apart from spending time with my family and friends, I also enjoy doing different sports: mountain biking, fitness, gym, running, etc.

Bicycle or motorcycle? 

Both. Bicycle is a kind of stress relief, whereas motorcycle for me equals freedom.

What are the three things you like the most at ProductDock?

People, flexibility and freedom, and the company’s dedication and unwavering commitment towards positive transformation.
