Java & AWS Backend Engineer

Novi Sad, Serbia

We’re seeking a highly skilled Backend Java Engineer with strong AWS cloud expertise to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll design and maintain scalable backend systems, optimize cloud infrastructure, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

In this position, you will need to have two to seven years of hands-on experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot, along with proven knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, or similar.
You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers. Our stack centers around Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, while the frontend is built with Angular and React. You will play a key role in building end-to-end features and maintaining application performance.
You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to architectural discussions, improve CI/CD pipelines, and experiment with technologies like Elastic Search, Kafka, and Terraform. This role is ideal for individuals who want to work in a dynamic environment and be part of a high-performing, agile team.

Advanced knowledge of the English language

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)

Experience of working in agile teams in a commercial environment

Extensive experience in Java

Extensive experience in SpringBoot

Solid knowledge of Elastic Search / Open Search

Solid knowledge of Kafka

Extensive experience in AWS (Lambda/EC2/S3 or similar services)
