ProductDock at INIT 2025: Fostering innovation, knowledge-sharing, and career growth

by ProductDock

The INIT conference took place at Banski Dvor in Banja Luka, on October 11, bringing together IT professionals from across the region to explore the latest industry trends, innovations and challenges in AI, software architecture, modern development practices, security, and project management.

We were proud to participate as a Gold Sponsor, supporting the growth and inspiration of the next generation of tech talent.

Reactive Java vs. virtual threads

Our software engineer, Milan Vučenović, delivered an insightful talk on Reactive Java vs. virtual threads: Choosing the right model in modern Java at stage one during the INIT conference.

Milan discussed different approaches to asynchronous programming in Java and explained how the recently introduced virtual threads have opened up new possibilities and simplified working with asynchronous processes.

The talk proved to be highly engaging and thought-provoking, inspiring numerous questions and active participation from the audience. We also prepared small gifts for those who asked the most engaging questions.

Unique opportunity to share knowledge

Our speaker, Milan Vučenović, shared that it was an excellent opportunity for him to be a part of the INIT conference, which brought together a large number of fantastic speakers from across Europe.

What impressed him the most were the young professionals just starting their careers, who showed great enthusiasm and curiosity through the questions they asked.

When asked how satisfied he was with his talk at the INIT Conference, Milan Vučenović shared:

“I’m satisfied with my talk, especially with the large number of younger colleagues who attended. What I enjoyed the most was the discussion afterward. Through their questions and experiences, I was able to hear about the challenges they face in practice and how they deal with them. In my opinion, such exchanges are the most valuable part of any conference.”

Milan’s advice for young professionals at the beginning of their careers who want to become part of the IT community is to keep learning continuously, stay up to date with new technologies and trends, and, above all, understand the essence of the problems they are solving.

Knowledge in action

At our stand, we organized an interactive knowledge quiz designed to engage participants and foster friendly competition while testing their IT expertise. As part of a quiz, we handed out a variety of ProductDock-branded gifts, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere that encouraged visitors to stop by and connect.

Students, young professionals, and tech enthusiasts were eager to learn more about ProductDock’s culture, values, and the career opportunities we offer.

It was great to see so much curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm from participants interested in growing their skills and joining a community that values innovation, learning, and collaboration.
